Crossing the bridge of Halloween night

Great Creator I thank you for this day
For the journey had been long and tonight I am free
To shed the camouflage I wear, and liberate
the Spirit with in me.

"The week has been long and filled with anticipation
The spirits of the dead have found emancipation
Tonight they walk in chaotic fashion
Searching out there sugary passion
Be mindful as they come up your walk
Keep your treats at hand and limit the talk"

The crow

The bridge to freedom awaits us at the days end
Crossing before dark is the safest plan
All of the things that fill you with fright
Will be crossing that bridge on Halloween night

The dead shall walk in dazed and confused
Let them pass bye don't be a stooge

The last of the dead will  rise from the grave
Judgments made on who will be saved

The simpleton spirits try so hard to bring fear
But the spirit of strength comes up from the rear

The children are out on the quest for treats
In costume they walk the Halloween streets
They fill up there buckets and offer a scare
With no fear they walk on with the spirits of bear

The crow stands ready  in the night alone
To escort the stragglers to their eternal home
All is now quite and its time to rest
The children count the bounty of the nights quest
The spirits that walked this weeks journey of mind
Are for now far gone, leaving us behind.

Have a frightfully happy all hallows eve and a peace filled weekend

Tomorrow our time starts, we get a reprieve
From all of things that tax the mind
That test our will and patience in kind.
The long walk is over now we can breathe
The fresh air of freedom, so I believe
